In his role, Oliver Mäckel focuses on megaprojects and large complex solution projects. He designs winning strategies, shapes bidding approaches, and defines communication and negotiation strategies. Oliver manages bids and proposals, ensuring high-quality submissions and effective risk management for challenging projects. He also stabilizes projects in critical situations and optimizes sales and execution phases, significantly speeding up project business processes.
Oliver served as the Head of the Consulting Group for Project & Risk Management at Siemens from 2012 to 2017, overseeing up to 20 direct reports in Germany and the USA. His responsibilities included executing risk management, improving project business operations, and stabilizing critical projects. From 2011 to 2012, he was the Director of Software and Systems Engineering, leading a global team of up to 70, focusing on system modeling, quality management, and dependability engineering.
Oliver’s extensive career at Siemens also includes roles as Director of Global Technology Fields for Project and Risk Management and Technical Risk Management, as well as Program Manager for Technical Risk Analysis & Risk Management. His expertise spans project execution, organizational development, procurement, team management, and project control. Oliver holds a profound knowledge of engineering and technology consultancy, making significant contributions to the field.
