Traditionally, the focus of process optimization in pharmaceutical production has been on the manufacturing processes. However, due to the availability of new digital tools and demand for further efficiency increase, business processes are currently also becoming a focus.
The improvement of business processes in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing brings with it particular difficulties due to the numerous and not always standardized activities (“hidden factory”). Therefore significant value can be added by process modeling and automation.
